| Think Big, or "Benji" is my equitation horse. He's a 17.3 Irish Sport Horse gelding. He's 10 years old right now. I bought him in September of 2000, right before I sold my pony Hooligan. We showed him up untill April of the following year, in the 2'6 hunters to gain mileage. The jump from a 14.1 pony to a 17.3 horse was huge, and he had never really shown. Then in April of 2001, he suddenly went lame. We had several vets look at him, but none of them made him better. In September we decided to send him to a farm for 6 months off. While he was gone I got a Children's Hunter, and got tons of mileage at the 3ft. We started showing Benji again this June/July(he's sound now!) and he's doing great. We started him in the hunters, and he actually did really well considering he's not a hunter. We're now showing in the 3ft eqs, and were recently reserve at Sussex County. | |||||||||||||||||
