| Hey guys. Now, if you do not have Sky1 you probably will not have heard of this show. It's been showing for just over a month now on Sky and in that small amount of time I have completely fallen in love with it. I mean, it's nothing new. It's the same old 'set in New York, a place where everyone owns an apartment and everyone has the world's best personality' kind of show. A sort of cross between Ally McBeal and Friends. It's probably best to get one thing out of the way before I carry on typing. The girl is called Jack and the guy is called Jill, well actually the guy is called David Jiledski, or something like that but his friends call him Jill. Poor bloke. Incidently, the name thing stays confusing for about five episodes. The great thing about this show is, unlike most WB programs, I am not in the least bit humiliated about liking it. Dawson's and Roswell speak for themselves, even Buffy can be a bit lame......nah, I take that one back and don't even get me started on Popular!!! The story line goes something like this: Jill has just moved in next door to Jack. They meet, they argue, they'll probably end up falling in love. See what I mean when I said it's nothing new? Of course, this being a WB show and all there are complications. At the start of the series, our two New Yorkians are both stuck in serious relationships. Jill is about to move in with his girlfriend and Jack comes dangerously close to getting married. What will become of the WBs trademark thougtful, brunette guy and the highly talkative girl? Only time will tell but one thing's for sure, there will be many jokes, many American accents and one hell of a lot of singing. (You'll understand the singing it when you watch it). |
