All The Queen's Men
In the movie All the Queen's Men Eddie gets to play a character that totally uses all of his personal attributes.  Matt Leblanc plays an american officer is the "officer almost"...meaning he almost completes every mission...but, not quite.  He is chosen to lead a group consisting of Eddie - a former british officer who was removed from duty due to his "condition"...he is a drag queen; a desk jockey british officer who is has never been on ops and is admitedly only the second ugliest member of the team in a dress; a decription expert who himself is quite comfortable when wearing a dress accept for when he has to use the restroom...which is quite often.

They are sent on a mission to get an Enigma machine...used to encrypt all german messages...and therefore change the course of the war...or are they.

In germany the only people working in the enigma factories are german women and old men as all the young men are off to the war...naturally it strikes command that they need to send a team of women in to infiltrate and procure the enigma machine but, it has come down from up top that there are to be no more women sent into combat situations.  So the guys place their fate in Eddie's expert hands and he molds them...there is only soo much even Eddie can achieve.

The commander's first response upon seeing the team is that he is sure they will look better once they get there makeup on only to be told they already have it on...get the picture.

Mischief ensues.  Now as for our darling Eddie, he nails it, he totally sells the kiss with his ex-boyfriend...totally.  He is totally adorable in all the attic scenes...I think it was the lighting but, even a couple of my gay guy friends remarked he looked particularly yummy in those scenes...and they really didn't even think he looked good before that...blind as they can be at times....LOL

As with any Eddie role there is a scene that is expressly his own, his boyfriend and Matt Leblanc get into it...not only in every single interview about the film that I saw him in but, his character in the movie is a homophobe and paranoid that someone will think as he is in a dress he is gay...he picks a fight with the ex-boyfriend by insulting Eddie calling him a queen, the boyfriend tells Matt that Eddie is not gay but, and I quote "Be-sexual"....Eddie's ex is a german man....Eddie remarks "that's right, I have sex with bees"; then as Eddie tugs him away from Matt he says to him "why do you always hang out with these queens"...Eddie responds with "well they're bigger than the other bees".  lmao
