Piccies and Tidbits from The Cat's Meow Movie
You might recognize ms. absolutely fabulous next to Eddie another co-star from the movie.

Mr. Bagdonovich was brilliant enough to decide upon seeing Eddie's show Dressed to Kill that he was perfect for the role of Chaplin in H=The Cat's Meow and then let him adlib to get the full benefit of his performance.  Ms. Jennifer Tilly plays a young Heta Harper in the movie.
Eddie plays Charlie Chaplin in pursuit of Marion Mistress of the tycoon Hurst.  The story is supposed to be based on a real event that noone was supposed to know about.
Look for the following:
Scene:  Marion and Charlie on the stairwell saying goodnights...he holds her face in his hand and says "We were good last night".   Note the look on Dunst face and she tries to come up with a quick response to Eddie's Adlib...and touche' for her she comes up with a wicked smile and "Well I was"...I adore the smile on Eddie's face as he walks away...LOL

Scene:  Charlie is trying to get into Marion' cabin for a bit of whey hey hey as indicated by the totally mischievious expression on his face and the teasing tone he uses, but, is rebuffed...when she closes the door in his face Eddie adlibs by mouthing his favorite curse word.

Scene:  Another and the best adlib by Eddie...there are a group of people in Marions cabin up to mischief...they decide to play charades..naturally Eddie and Marion are a pair...the clue is "Man Discovers His Reflection".  Eddie whispers to Dunst follow my lead and adlibs one of the funniest moments on film as you will note immediately by Kirsten Dunst face turning beat red and a momentary glance to the director for intervention...LOL
and the ending to the scene...purr...I wanna play charades....LOL

Scene:  Marion and friend enter cabin after discussion of ethics and find Charlie lying curled up at the foot of the bed...doesn't he look adorable?  LOL

I am terrible with names so I can only give you that the lady from AbFab is in this not the mom but, the boozer best friend as the author.

The actor who played Herman Munster in the remake of the Munsters and he also played the Master Vampire in the cult classic Lost Boys is Mr. Hearst.
