Our World, As We Comprehend It
They say that we live in a 3-D world. What are the 3 dimensions they refer to? Is it height, width and depth? Or is it a bit more complicated than that? I've come to realize that humans are not capable of comprehending everything in this universe. So here's a thought. How do we know that it's not a 4 or a 5 dimensional world we're living in?!
Here's the theory. We see, feel, sense, and comprehend objects with height, width and depth, because that's as far as we can comprehend. If we had another type of sense, in addition to our current 5 senses, maybe, just maybe, we could see the world as a 4 dimensional world. Density could be included, if we should one day develop such a sense.
If you believe in Darwinism, then you can understand that evolution played a part in the development of our current senses. Perhaps in time, we will slowly develop that sixth sense everyone gets so worked up about. And maybe also a seventh, and an eighth, or ninth and so on.
If you did not understand what I have written above, try this. Could time be yet another dimension in our world? Notice that because of the time factor, nothing ever remains the same. Time is constantly moving, therefore, even if something is supposedly untouched, or unchanged, it would still be different in the sense that it now exists in a different time. Even a mere microsecond should change its very existence.
I do not expect anyone to accept what I have just brought up. Nor do I even expect you to understand it. Even I myself have problems understanding the concept. Or maybe it's just that my intelligence, like everyone else, has its limits. Feel free to sign my guestbook and leave your email if you would like to discuss this further. I'm open to constructive input.
