PACKERS ON CENTER STAGE FOR FINALE

Twice-a-week practices.  Late night practices.  Early morning games.  Slicing the fruit.  Buying the snacks.  Washing the uniforms.  Losing, then finding, and losing again mouth pieces.  All the little things that go into making something work had finally paid off.  The Semi-Pro Packers had come from learning how to catch a ball, to playing for the title of SUPER BOWL Champions.  The only thing standing in their way?  The undefeated Dallas Cowboys.  It was nice to finally be an underdog, said Coach Chris.  All season long we were the hunted.  Everyone was after us, to take us down.  And now, we get to do the hunting!

The Packers showed no signs of nerves.  They knew what they had to do.  The coaches had told them over and over again, treat this like every other game.  Thats what got them this far, so why change now.  The Packers fought hard and never gave up.  However, in the end, the Cowboys proved to be a little too much and beat the Packers 31-14.

The Packers got the ball first and calmly took the ball downfield, putting a bit of fear into the Cowboys and their crowd.
Nathan sticky fingers Corsey made a catch down the sideline and was running in for a TD.  However, Nathan thought he had crossed the goal line but actually had only crossed the 5 yard line.  The Packers threw an interception on the next play and the battle waged on.  In the first half, the Packers kept it close.  The Cowboys looked a bit frustrated because they were not dominating as usual.  They came into the game thinking it was over before it started, said Coach Craig.  I heard them yelling one time as their player raced down the sideline there he goes, goodbye.  But Nathan came from across the field and got his flag around the 5 yard line.  That was a real wake up call for them and their sidelines.  It was a message from us to them that we arent intimidated and were not going to lay down, Craig added.

The Cowboys had two players who were much quicker and faster than anyone the Packers had seen all season.  They continued to run every play through the same two players.  Not a complicated offense, nothing fancy.  Just hand it off or throw it quickly to the same two guys.  I thought we could take em down when I saw they had no playbook, said Coach Chris.  Normally when they just get in the huddle and say you go here, you go there, we come out on top.  But when you hand it to the same two speedsters all game long, its tough to contain, Chris added.

The Packers had nothing to be ashamed of as they made it all the way to the Super Bowl after Coaches Chris and Craig wondered after the first practice if theyd even win one game.  How could you not be proud and amazed at this bunch, asked Coach Kelly?  The Packers walked off the field with their heads held high, realizing what they had just accomplished.  Coach Craig had asked only one thing of them during the playoff weekend, leave everything youve got out on that field.  And the Packers did just that, and everyone in attendance noticed.  Although the season is now over, the coaches, players and parents wont soon forget this team.  A team that seemed out matched before every game.  The other teams were always taller and faster.  But none of them had the desire that the Packers had.  This team will always be remembered for what they accomplished and how they had fun doing it.  Hopefully, the players will always look back on this experience and remember that no matter how intimidating the opposition looks, you can never measure ones heart just at first glance.  Always lay it out there, and if things dont go your way, you can at least hold your head up and say I gave it everything I had!

GREAT SEASON PACKERS!!  SEE YA AT THE OLD COUNTRY BUFFET!!!!!
