| This Jeep is a 1966 Wagoneer with the optional 'Super' trim package. This package included: lots of exterior chrome, vinyl roof, tilt wheel, bucket seats, and center floor console with shift for the automatic transmission. It's powered by a GM350 with 3" single Flowmaster 70 exhaust, and a Holley 650 Double Pumper atop the Edlbrock Performer manifold. The V8 was rebuilt in 1993 with 'flat-top' pistons, and a .020 overbore. Behind the block is a matching Stage 2 GM TH700R4 from Bowtie Overdrives. Power is sent to the differentials via a part- timed 1979 Quadra-Trac model transfer case. The rear axle is a 1979 Dana 44 30 spline and the front differential is a 1977 Dana model 44. Both drive shafts rotate 4:27 ring and pinions. The rear houses a Detroit SoftLocker, while the front uses a Power-Loc. The rear suspension has a 3.5" lift block and a 'shackle flip' adaptation. The front suspension is 'Spring over Axle'(SOA) with 'Quad' shocks. All corners have OEM leaf spring packs. The body has been lifted 3". Front discs are standard. The rear is adapted to use TSMs 1981 Eldorado rear disc brake kit. All brakes use Steel braided hoses. A J20 dual-diaphram brake booster is used for power assist. A 1981 Wagoneer '76' steering gear box was installed, along with GM cross-over steering knuckles and arms. Tires are BFG 33 1250 15 MTs mounted on 15x8 American Racing AR767 rims. Power steering, transmission, and engine oil coolers are used. Ken Wetherall Concord, CA. USA |
| This is a 1977 Cherokee. It's originally from California and the only rust worth mentioning in on the rear fender flares. The underside is very clean and mechanically it's great (knock on wood!) It has the stock 360 with 97,000 miles. The guy I bought it from added a part time conversion kit too. It has a 4" Skyjacker lift now with 33's on it now, but that will change eventually. I want to add another 2" (at least) to the lift and some 35's. New front seats and door panels are on the way too. The back seat is original and will be reupholstered soon. | 1981 SJ with 80k original miles. The entire jeep is stock except for the Flowmaster exhaust. The 258 runs like a champ and I have never enjoyed a vehicle more than this. Mark Phoenix |
