| A. In Battle Info. 1. Before Battle Unit Deploy. This is where if you are a first time player, things may get a little confusing at first. But it is pretty simple. Place the cursor over the space you want filled with a soldier and hit 'O'. You can scroll through your men(or women) by hitting the R1 or L1 buttons. You start out with 2 chemists, and 4 squires. Simple, eh? 2. Main Controls. This is also fairly simple, the battle runs on an turn system. And when it is one of your men's turn, simply hit 'o' and an options menu will appear. Just do what you wanna do pretty much. Here is a list of what the buttons do in battle Square - If on pause mode, characters will flash red or blue, depending on their side. Enemy=red Ally=blue Triangle - If it is enemy's turn, will stop the fight on next turn. X button - Cancel Button O button - Confirm Button 3. Strategy. Depending on the fight you battle, different missions will be demanded of you. Most of the time it is "Destroy all enemies." 4. Move and Act. When you Open the options menu in battle, there is move, act, status, and auto-battle. When it is your turn, your CT is 100, that means your turn shall be executed next. Move takes out 50 CT and acting takes out 50 CT. So if you only do one, you can save a turn. But if you do not act, your character will not recieve any experience or job points. When Experience reaches 100, your character gets a level up. 5. Enemy Units. The opposing force in a battle. They are controlled by the AI and have as much options as you do. The only power they have over you is that they can control more guys per battle than you. Defeat them to get exp. and job points. Easy enough. 6. Monsters. If you encounter a monster it is handled the same way as a human, except they do not have jobs so they have limited technique. If you acquire the 'secret hunt' ability, you can poach enemy monsters. B. Map Screen 1. Moving. Just but the pointer over a area and hit the 'o' button. 2. Towns and Castles. When you are at one of these places, and you click on the place while you are there, you can do numerous things. Bar.- Hear the latest rumors and get different job propositions (if far enough in the game) Shop-. Buy and sell items. Soldier Office.- If you are running low on men, you can purchase soldiers (unfortanetly, they suck) Also, after you reach Chapter 3 in the game, at Dorter Trade City you will have the Fur Shop option. This will allow you to buy items that you poached from monsters. 3. Battlefields. Most Battlefields are marked Green on the map after they are completed, if you have never been to a place before, it is marked red, chances are that a battle will occur there. Be sure to save :) 4.Other Contols. If you hit the triangle button on the map screen, many options will pop up. Move = Say where you wish to move Formation = Where all of your Job- Item Commands are made(VERY VERY important.) Brave Story = You can check on the status of your game, and learn about people you are unsure of. Option - Configure and Customize your options here. Save - Save your current game status. C. Formation Menu. 1. Item- Where you can equip, organize, and view upon your items. 2. Jobs- There are many different Jobs that one can perform. Doing jobs unlocks other jobs. To Learn a New Ability, click on the wanted person, hit the triangle button, hit learn, select the correct job, and select the abilities you wish to learn. YOUR JOB POINTS GO DOWN AFTER YOU SELECT A ABILITY. Page 2 |
