"...Symphonic Rock that
transmits an optimism beyond the common..." - Descubre La Caja Pandora
"AETHELLIS' music is more like a
cross between Tony BANKS,
Alan PARSONS and Rick WAKEMAN" - Lise
(Hibou), The Prog Archives
Hello and welcome to
the "official" Aethellis
website (not that we know of any "unofficial" Aethellis websites)!
A
little background:
Aethellis
takes the forms and feel of classic symphonic rock and incorporates a
contemporary rhythmic feel. The Aethellis
album was spearheaded and recorded in 2002/2003
by classically trained keyboardist/vocalist/hack guitarist/Narcissist
Ellsworth Hall and has many influences including classical, synth pop,
jazz
and even hip-hop. This either represents wide tastes or an inability to
focus. He puts this genre wanderlust to good use in his soundtrack work
with Ellsounds.
Veterans
of several bands (most noteably Logos / Affinity in the 80s),
the live performing members have been playing tunes from the Aethellis
album in addition to other originals by several members that ego-maniac
Ellsworth grudgingly allowed. The band also performs classic rock
covers so that the audience recognizes SOMETHING.

to the music. The song remained in the Broadjam.com
