David Lee says |
|
- "This was our revenge, from all of us who were picked upon by bullies when we were kids," says Lee of the show that found Frasier calling for a plumber, a team that happened to include a man who was Niles' 6th grade terroriser. "I even named the bully after my 6th grade bully (Billy Kriezel)," says Lee.

Cut Scenes |
|
- After Roz caught Frasier staring at the back of her head, she says "I saw that!". Whereas in the show she chases him away, in the script she adds, "So what do you think? Is it too flat?".
- There is a lot of adlibbing between Frasier and Niles after they flush the toilet and it overflows. Niles in particular seems to say "Oh, oh!" a lot. :-)
- When Niles tells Frasier who Danny is, there was a bit cut out where Niles says you could pluck his eyes out and he would still be sure it was Danny. Danny tried to this, we learn.
- When Martin is talking with Danny, Danny tells him in the script that he has to drive a truck with a giant inflatable toilet on it.
- Niles wants to give Danny a swirly. In the script, there is a cut scene where he drops a coin into the toilet and Danny says "Nice going, jocko!" When Frasier comes in, he has a few more lines as well.
- After Frasier lets Niles back in, there is a scene where Daphne looks through the telescope and sees the guy in the park she likes, so she and Eddie go out again.
- When Frasier and Niles are in the kitchen, there are a few lines cut where Frasier tells Niles he would be in the ER if he'd gotten his revenge.
- When Billy is telling Frasier about "this poindexter" (young Frasier!), there are a few lines cut from the script where it is revealed the janitor had to cut Frasier out in front of half the school.
- A few seconds later, we hear how Billy shoved cottage cheese down Frasier's nose! Then we see Frasier lose it.....
- Not really a cut scene, but a different order. In the script, we see a longer scene with Billy and Frasier, then we cut to Danny and Niles (a few seconds later, we see Frasier and Billy run in). In the show, we keep cutting between the two scenes, but no dialogue is lost. For instance, in the show, Frasier says "I was there!" to Billy, then we learn Danny was bullied by his father - in the show, it was the other way around.
- In the script, the tag scene had Daphne trying to teach Eddie how to catch a Frisbee - but Eddie never moves. In the show, she goes looking for him, but can't find him, so just goes without him.

Major Dialogue Changes |
|
- A line appeared in the show but not the script, where Elliott said he was born in New Providence.
- In the script, Frasier says "We can't enjoy a good laugh at ourselves every once in a while," in the show he says "...from time to time," instead of "every once in a while."
- When Roz is telling Frasier about the guy at the Seahawks game, there are a few differences in the order she tells him things.
- Kelsey obviously improvised a bit during the scene where Eddie wants Frasier's muffin, since all the "yum yum yums" and "mmms" are not in the script. :-)
- In the script, Martin asks Frasier if he can "please do [him] a favour and take care of that toilet of [Frasier's]?". In the show, Martin just suggests Frasier do this.
- Line not in script: Martin says "Call a plumber?" to Frasier.
- When Frasier shows Martin his knife, there is a whole little bit in the show that was not in the script where Frasier says "Let me show you something, mister" to Martin.
- When Niles examines the tool, he says "Oh, a garlic press" in the script but "Oh, a lemon zester!" in the show.
- When Frasier talks to Niles about fixing the toilet, he also said in the script, "You know, I'm not usually up for this kind of challenge..."
- During the "Circle of Life" speech, Niles refers to Dolly Parton as "Dolly" in the script, but "Miss Parton" in the show, and also adds "of course" in his speech.
- Niles chants "There goes Crane, down the drain," a few more times in the script than in the show.
- Niles' lines about operas and living well are slightly different in the show.
- Danny has to whistle to get Niles' attention in the show.
- When Niles tries to open the bottle, he asks Frasier "Could you help me with this?" in the script, but "Could you get that for me?" in the show.
- In the script, Niles says, "The minute you look into that blank, oafish face...": in the show he just says "One look at that oafish face..."
- When Niles tells Danny about "John Adams Junior High", Danny said, "Hey, I think I went there."
- When Danny is talking to Niles, he admits he was "a real jerk."
- When Billy is talking to Frasier, in the script he starts singing the hula. Not in the script but in the show had Billy intimating Frasier's voice.
- When Frasier and Martin talk at the end, Martin says "If you'd listened to me 20 years ago..." in the script, but "Ah, it's too bad you didn't do it 20 years ago..." in the show.
