The universe, like human thought works in patterns. History repeats itself, over and over. Pattern, as I refer to it, is a mixture of intuition and psychology. The Primary Pattern life follows, can be seen as a mixture of life imitating art and vice versa. We are characters in a play, the illusion of this world (maya) is the stage and God is the director. Our director loves irony. If we can figure out which characters other people in life are playing we can predict their actions with regards to each other and us. We must also sometimes think of objects and pets as characters. Events are the biggest clue as everything is an omen. These omens queue us in to what is going to happen next. Life is predictable if we step outside ourselves to look at it this way.
As creation takes place in fours, there are three other patterns that we may observe so that we can correctly direct our actions to a more desirable outcome.
The next pattern I call a left-right. It is defined as doing the opposite of what you think is right, or is morally right, because in the end it will prove to be the right thing to do. It is reverse psychology. It is the logic of chaotic good. It is thinking outside the box.
Another pattern I call gypsy pattern. It is defined as taking a course of actions because you already know the outcome. If the primary pattern is mastered all actions in your life would fit into gypsy pattern. One would never make mistakes as the big picture sees it, and that is the perfection of the saints. Gypsy pattern is the shortest route, the path of least resistance, and the least possible use of resources. 1/1=1
The last pattern is the inverse of a left-right. I call it an X-maneuver. It is characterized by making your own options, when those options don’t exist to normal linear thinking. It’s taking a Tesseract to work, or writing in your own answer to a multiple-choice question. It therefore only works in an open forum. It is the only pattern where the path is unknown or unpredictable. It’s often like starting in the middle. “There is no spoon.”- Neo from The Matrix
I have found that using the pattern to decide which course of action I should take to get to my goal is more accurate than tarot or intuition.
One thing that may help in predicting actions with people is understanding that relationships work in a triangular pattern when you have more than two people involved. If A and B are friends and B and C are friends then A and C will become friends or there will be friction between A and B, with the friction being proportional to the strength of the bond or enmity between all concerned parties. With less friction you can agree to disagree. With greater friction one or more bond will break.
No one can withstand sustained temptation. Period. Not even the saints can resist the temptations set before them. It’s not about will or strength of character. The only way to beat a temptation is to remove it from you. To do that, you can modify what aspect(s) of yourself is being tempted, or you will need to modify you environment to remove the temptation. So Strength of will or character can help you to stop being tempted, but for the big ones removing the temptation from without is best (Christ ordered the devil to get behind him, to remove his great temptation). Keep in mind that we are tempted by different things and to varying degrees.
Chance favors the prepared mind.
Everybody likes an underdog, and so an underdog has an advantage based on that collective will.
If a pattern you are in also has an opponent, either of you can change the pattern at will. Often, the first to do so will win.
Examples:
For the question “Where to Begin”
Primary: At the beginning
Gypsy: anywhere.
Left-right: at the end
X: anywhere but the beginning or the end.
