To whom it may concern:

I have set up an economic model of the GDP(gross personal income) and the

total cost of each entity of government, Federal, State, County, Cities, Schools

...Etc. tax cost for the years 1990-1999 data for Missouri County of Audrain ,

some of the data is yet incomplete, and some entities of government have not

reported their acutal or proposed budgets, but this will only make the cost of

government go up, and your after tax earning go down.

In the development of my ecnomic model I have tried to approach the real

world, as much as possible, constantly refining and trying to be as resonable as

possible in assumptions and estimates. Yet there are many taxes, I haven't

accounted for in the model, such as Federal excise taxes on new cars, tires and

phone bills, and the many taxes that are on the products you may buy that are

hidden, tobacco and liquor taxes.

The Facts are that taxes are rising faster than incomes when you look at  your

total tax burden for Federal, State, County, Cities, Schools,...etc. you will see that

about 50 percent of your gross earnings goes to pay the cost of government.

What this means is your government is making as much money off your job as

you do, and if its more than 50 percent your goverment is making more than you

do at your job. Your effective after tax wages are about half of what your real

wage is. Per capita income for 1997 is about 20,000 dollars or 10.00 dollars per

hour, you get to spend about 5.00 dollars after all the taxes are accounted for by

all the enties of government. You should ask your community leaders about the

cost in your own county, or address this yourself.

The fact that taxes are going up faster than wages, is also confirmed on the

state level by the simple fact that you may recieve a refund from the state. The

Missouri Consitutution article X limits the growth of state government( no limit

on local government). The article simply says when state revenues exceed

personal income by 1 percent or more, then taxpayers who paid income taxes get

a refund of excess revenues.

In good economic times workers should save for the rainy day that will

inevitable come, as the economy goes thru up and down cycles, yet the saving

rate is negative.

The underlying economic factors and causes that are always present can cause

the economy to turn on a dime.

The future of all societies lays in the balance, as wages get squeezed and taxes

sore. The future belongs to the most efficient. This will also include the cost of

livng and the cost of taxing.  Those that do not move to a more efficient system

will not be able to sell a high cost product into a global economic market.

If those at the levers of government want to see the many areas of America

grow then they, should see that we have a continuing flow of good jobs that pay

better than average wages. Corporations and business's do not want to locate in

an area that does not offer them a profitable market with growth, and citizens

should consider the same for there own careers, and their childrens.  The most

important asset to any community is the workers and their abilities to produce a

product to be sold outside the area to bring that wealth back to the community.

There is an economic river of commerce, money, goods and services that flow in

and out of communities. Those communities that have higher inflows of money,

and out flows of goods are more economicly viable than those that don't.

I do not support poverty wage jobs. If the economic system supports the

workers, then the workers will then be able to address their own needs, without

the intervention of government, the bureaucracy need to administer it, the taxes

needed to fund it, and a higher tax burden for others to pay for it , thus

becoming more efficient.

I pledge to work for a continuing increase in the standard of living of the

American people. Financial Freedom is parmount to fundamental freedoms, with

that financial freedom comes the duty and obligation to manage your wealth

wisely, and to support political candidates that are likewise minded.

There are many scams, schemes and scoundrels out there, please choose

wisely, and vote for your favorit.

Sincerely,
Goodjobs
