Install Steps
- Download CreditsEditor.zip (89KB) and unpack it into a dedicated folder.
- Create a shortcut to the unpacked CreditsEditor.xlt on your Start Menu.
Commands
- Copy
Copies the content of the current cast or sheet to the clipboard after fully
validating all data.
To paste these data into DVD Profiler, open the Edit Profile window,
right-click on the current cast or crew list, then select Paste All Cast/Crew.
- Paste
Pastes the content of the clipboard into the current cast or crew sheet.
If the sheet already contains data, the new content will be appended.
This allows you to quickly merge credits from multiple (child) profiles.
To copy credits from DVD Profiler to the clipboard, open the Edit Profile window,
right-click on the current cast or crew list, then select Copy All Cast/Crew.
- Clear
Deletes all data on the current cast or crew sheet.
- More
Displays a popup menu with the following commands.
- AutoFit Columns
Adjusts the width of all columns to fit their content. This happens automatically
when you paste new data into the sheet, but you may have to re-apply the command
after manually entering data.
- Outline by Dividers
Toggles the Excel Outline to group credits by dividers.
- AutoFilter
Toggles the Excel Autofilter.
- Role First (Cast only)
Toggles the position of the Role column. Alternatively, you can change
the order of all columns by manually dragging them around.
- Show Credit Type (Crew only)
Shows or hides the Credit Type column, which contains the "super" type of
a crew credit (e.g. Writing). This column is hidden by default, and its
content is only used to restrict the choices of the CreditSubtype column.
Exception: Since the CreditSubtype "Custom" can belong to any
CreditType, you have to explicitly pick a CreditType.
- New Sheet
Creates a new, empty sheet of the same type (cast or crew) as the current one.
Data Columns
- Div - Divider
To create a divider, you enter it in this column and leave all other columns empty.
The maximum length for a divider is 40 characters.
- FirstName, MiddleName, LastName
Enter the name parts into the appropriate columns. At least a first name is required.
The maximum length for each name part is 25 characters.
- BY - Birth Year
Optional.
- CreditedAs
Optional. The maximum length is 40 characters.
- Role (Cast only)
Optional. The maximum length is 40 characters.
- U - Uncredited, V - Voice (Cast only)
Instead of checkboxes, any text in these columns will mark the credit
entry as Uncredited and/or Voice. The default text used is "u" and "v".
- CreditType (Crew only)
This is the "super" type of a crew credit (e.g. Writing).
It can be picked from a drop down list.
The column is hidden by default, and its content is only used to restrict
the choices of the CreditSubtype column.
Exception: If you want to use a CustomRole without a predefined CreditSubtype,
but with a predefined CreditType, you have to explicitly pick the CreditType.
Otherwise, the CreditType will be "Other".
- CreditSubtype (Crew only)
This is the real crew role (e.g. Screenwriter).
It can be picked from a drop down list.
Leave empty for an entirely custom role that should not match any of
the predefined ones.
- CustomRole (Crew only)
This is an optional custom crew role.
