I stared making websites around the age of 9 or 10.I had only made webpages that involve getting hosted and making layouts for people.In 1999 I was listening to the radio in my car and heard a song.I loved it and at the end of the song they told who played it.When I got home I opened my music downloading program, looked up goodcharlotte,and found some songs.I listed to a few since I guess there wasnt a lot and I turned out to love the band.
I had been listening to them for about a month until I decided to go take a look and see what they look like and scoop out a few facts about the band.There was not a lot about them but hey they seemed pretty cool.After about the 3rd month I decided to make a good charlotte site.You may find this hard to believe but it took me 4 years just to actually get this site up.I changed hosts 32 times,changed the domain 15 times,and changed the layout 129 times.
In January 2003 I decided to start finding the content for my site.I started off with finding out some information on all the members.It was sort of hard because I didn't know if any information was true.I went to around 1000 sites that had different information about them.But finally I found the site that made it all happen good charlotte.com. I looked there found some information and I was set.Since the information on there was true I believed everything else.I started looking for interviews,articles,and videos also to find out more about them.
In February when I finished gathering my information I went on a search for pictures.I started out with old and new pictures.Right now I try my best just to get new pictures because I don't see a use for the old.It took me around 2 weeks to find all my pictures and get them in order.In March I went searching for interviews.I found TON'S.I ofcourse read them all which took forever but it was worth it.Now I have a full collection of interviews.In April and May I went searching for videos and pictures on there new drummer...Chris.
When I found out about Chris I knew there was gonna be a problem.I couldn't find any information or pictures of this guy and I wanted to bring as much as I could to everyone.I kept looking but it didn't work.I found a lot of videos and there on the site now.In June I took a break for 3 weeks.In July I came back and started working on different things for my site such as wallpaper,avatars,buddy icons and things like that.By August I was good to go.
The site opened August 11,2003 with a big boom.I got over 1,000 hits just that day and I was very proud.The site is still doing fine and running perfectly.
Since then USGC has grew a lot since that time.There is much more content and we bring you fresh information and updates about the guys everyday.Mainly we say If you come,good charlotte stays.
