I have been searching for a real girl-fronted punk band that didn't write typical girly songs and didn't play just equally typical music for so long, I was about ready to give up my search. But, then, I popped in my new Punk-O-Rama 9 DVD last night, and the second song on the CD was a song by the HorrorPops, called Misstake. The video was awesome, the song was awesome, and the lead singer actually had a good voice, and still managed to blend it into awesome rocking punk music without ruining one or the other. Patricia, who's favorite colors are black and shiny, leads the band with her wicked stand up slapping bass, and vocals that remind me of a seriously pissed off Gwen Stefani of No Doubt. Guitars are played by Nekromantix guitarist Kim Nekroman, and the guitarist formally known as Karsten. Drums are done by Niedermeyer. The band is not complete without it's "Totally Rotten Go-Go Dancers", Mille and Kamilla. In the video, you can see the two dancing there hearts out. Soon after the band was formed, Patricia and Nekroman ended up getting married. Patricia says that they didn't start the band because they were married, the band came first. So pick up a copy of their CD "Hell Yeah!" in stores, or a copy of Punk-O-Rama 9, and check out their video.
