Alright. I was just doing a little reading at the official Bad Religion site, and I found out some sweet stuff. Bad Religion released their first album on their label Epitaph records in 1981, and have released 18 albums in their 23 year career. Their latest, The Empire Strikes First is one of the best albums I've ever heard. Los Angeles is Burning is a wicked song, and is good to sing along to at the top of your longs in the car. Another song that is wicked is Live Again (The Fall of Man). "Would you give it all up to live again?" it asks. It really makes you think if your life really is so bad, that you would give it all up, forget everything and everyone you've ever known, and start over from scratch. Social Suicide is rad too. I also have The Process of Belief which has "The Defense", my all time favorite song on it. Other sweet songs on "Belief" are "Epiphany", "Sorrow" and "Supersonic". Bad Religion believe that music should be used to change the world for the better. The band tackles issues like war, religion (Obviously, their name is Bad Religion), and life in general. The band includes Epitaph owner Brett Gurewitz, Greg Hetson and Brian Baker on guitar, Brooks Wackerman on drums (An appropriate name I think.....), Jay Bentley on bass and Greg Gaffin with the vocals. The band still consists of 3 of it's original members. Gaffin, Gurewitz and Bentley fromed the band in 1980 in the San Fernando Valley. Greg Hetson joined in 1987 after the debut album "How Could Hell be any Worse?", and recorded "Suffer". Brian Baker joined in 1994 when Brett Gurewitz left to run Epitaph full time. In 2000, Gurewitz re-joined the band, and the"comeback" album "The Process of Belief" was released in 2002. Brooks Wackerman joined quite recently I believe. Bad Religion have long been known as Smart Punks, Vocalist Gaffin has a Ph. D in Biology. So pick up a copy of any of their 18 albums, and enjoy some thought provoking lyrics and pictures.

Alright! I am fresh back from The Vans Warped Tour! What an experience that was! Bad Religion was freaking awesome! Those guys are awesome. They played so perfectly, like it was the CD playing instead of a live band. Here's the set list, but keep in mind, it's not in the right order, other then the first and last songs: Sinister Rouge<-----First!
Suffer
Epiphany
Los Angeles is Burning
Kyoto Now
God's Love
American Jesus
Sorrow<-----Last!

So, an awesome show, by an awesome band! Be sure to catch them either on the Warped Tour, or on their tour this fall, which is again going through Calgary. I'll be there!!!
