The History of the CREW (Part 1 1999-2000) The CREW all started back in October 1999 when Davie J arrived in the Eiwf. He was followed shortly by Eddie D who as a tag team was known as the Good Guys. Davie J won the United States title and Eddie D won the T.V. title. The duo came very popular with the fans and there phrase "Always stay true to the CREW". The two said that the CREW was 3 people and not just them too, but no one knew who this third member would be.Then Davie J publicly criticised Prez Rod on his running of the company which resulted in Davie J being fired. This lead to Prez Rod being heavily under pressure after other Eiwf superstars and millions of fans called for the ICON to be reinstated. Davie J was rehired within two weeks after Prez Rod was facing a crises with ratings and moral. The feud and heat between Davie J and Prez Rod continued and all culminated at the Eiwf's second PPV Hell on Earth when they shocked the wrestling world and the Prez helped Davie J retain his United States title and everyone thought that the Prez had turned out to be the third member. Also up and coming star X-Factor joined the CREW after be Eddie D's tag partner. Then as popularity of the CREW continued the December PPV was named after them being called 'Stay True' with the main event being Davie J who was then World Champion after beating Badd Dogg defending the title to Hulk Hogan. The wrestling world was in shock when Hulk Hogan defeated Davie J for the world title and Eddie D and X-Factor turned on the founder of the CREW and beat him up under orders of 'Hollywood' Hogan. Hogan proclaimed himself the new leader of the CREW and they were dumbed the New Blood. Davie J dissapeared and Hogan took matters into his own hands with associated members of the CREW such as Hall, Nash, HHH and Rodzilla all coming and going as well as Big Poppa. Then problems started to happen within the CREW and cracks appeared in there unity as Hall Nash and HHH stopped running with them, then Hogan lost his world title to Badd Doog and blamed Eddie D. Hogan decided to have the rest of the CREW beat Eddie D and he lost a career ending match so as an added insult Hogan held Eddie D's 'funneral' at Doomsday but that was when the wrestling world was in shock as the ICON Davie J returned and helpped Eddie D and they formed a 4-some with Goldberg and Badd Dogg to take on the CREW. Davie J won the world title from Badd Dogg which infuriated Hogan and at Evil Intension it was the rematch the wrestling world wanted to see. Davie J versus Hollywood Hogan. On that night the Good Guys won the tag team titles and then in the main even the biggest ever swerve was realised as Davie J layed down for Hogan to captue the world title, the CREW was back together Big Poppa had screwed his tag partner X-Factor earlier in the night and Hogan, DavieJ, Big Poppa and Eddie D was the source behind the force which was the CREW. Hogan had been the third member all the time and they how thing was a massive screw job which no one saw coming. Big Poppa added the United states title to Hogans world and the Good Guys tag team titles. The CREW beat all comers including other stables such as D-Generation X, Team Hardcore, The Clan, the Ailiance of Violence, Four Horsemen. Then trouble happened again when Big Poppa left and he and X-Factor defeated the Good Guys for the Tag titles, then the L.O.W. joined the CREW and he won the United States title but left and found out he should have 'Stayed True' as Hogan beat him for his United States title. X-Facotr and Big Poppa had left the Eiwf and Joe Green followed them shortly afterwards as they all felt the wrath of the CREW. Eddie D then fell he should be more of a big game player and at No Guts No Glory he was in the main event. The main event was a three way dance for the World title with Champion Davie J and the Rock and Eddie D. Davie J won and Eddie D took one hell of a beating and he has not been seen since. On the same night Hollywood Hogan lost the United States title to Jeff Jarrett and was injured by Jarrett and Rage and Hogan has been sidelined with the injury for a few months and the CREW was no more. Wether or not the CREW will ever be seen again remains to be seen but as for now the CREW is burried and dead for ever longer............................or are they? ALWAYS STAY TRUE TO THE CREW!!!! The history of the CREW part 2 After the split up in summer 2000 the boys from the CREW all went and did there own thing, Hogan took a break as did Eddie D. Davie J stayed in the EIWF until he was fired in Aug 2000, he would later resurface in the ICW and mock the EIWF which led to an inter-promotional feud between the EIWF and ICW and it's Prez Easy E. Davie managed to persuade many of his friends from the EIWF to join the ICW including L double E, Eddie D, Bad Dogg, Hollywood Hogan, Revolution and Slash. What people didn't know was Davie J was never fired and it was all a set up which had been planned by the Icon himself and the EIWF Prez. Davie returned at Hell on Earth and cost Kurt Angler his TV title, Metyl his United States title and Hollywood Hogan his world title. This was after Hollywood Hogan has appeared in the ICW and cost Davie J his world title to Slash. At the next EIWF PPV Stay True Davie J beat three people to win the EIWF world title again, and Hollywood Hogan showed it was another set up as he celebrated with Davie J and the CREW turned up in the ICW where Hogan and Eddie both helped Davie J win his second ICW world title at there January PPV called Justification when he beat Slash. |
