| Mike was born on Tuesday October 10th, 1967. Although he was born in Washington D.C., he moved to the suburbs of Florida in 1970, and grew up there. During high school, Mike played in his frist band, the Mixed Desmids. After Graduating from Ransom Evergaldes High School in 1985, Mike moved to Texas, where he attended North Texas State University. His declared majors were music and philosophy. While in Texas, Mike played in several bands, including Billy Goat and Caulk. Mike did not get his degree in NTSU, but instead moved to L.A. While living in L.A., Mike played in a band called Careless. Due to other opportunities for several band memebers, Careless broke up. Mike contemplated returing to Texas. At the same time, the Goo Goo Dolls were splitting with their former drummer George Tutuska. A window of oppurtunity presented itself, and Mike auditioned. Mike was officially made a Goo Goo Dolls member in the fall of '98. |
