VAMPIRE VIXENS
PLOT-Dracoola, granddaughter of Count Dracula, returns to seek revenge on her arch nemesis Wally Van Helsing.
VIOLENCE-One character gets a bloody bite on the neck.
SEX/NUDITY-Numerous scenes of softcore lezbo-tronic action, with full nudity.
WHY I WATCHED IT-This film is the long-awaited sequel to VAMPIRE'S SEDUCTION, one of Seduction Cinema's first releases, and one of my personal favorites. John Bacchus is back in the director's chair, and stars Mia Copia (Dracoola) and John Fedele (Wally) return as well. Added to the cast are the hilarious Zach Snygg, and an all-star SC lineup including Darian Caine, Misty Mundae, AJ Khan, and (the now retired) Katie Jordon.
THE DOPE-Sounds like a winner, doesn't it? Bacchus is responsible for all my favorite SC films of the past, and I suppose it's unfair of me to expect so much from a movie like this, but I really was disappointed. One indication shoulda been the fact that this movie was made three years ago and it's just now getting released. VAMPIRE VIXENS is basically the same movie as VAMPIRE SEDUCTION in terms of plot, with Dracoola's new flunky Eugene (Snygg) spying on lesbians instead of Wally (who is now the head of a major corporation). There were several funny moments in the film, thanks to Copia, Fedele and Snygg, who are all hilarious of course. But in my view, given what I've seen the participants do in the past, I think VAMPIRE VIXENS under-achieves. Maybe it was the long wait, maybe I expected more from the huge pool of talent involved. The movie is funny, and the skin quotient is high, but don't expect anything bigger or better than the first one.
MEMORABLE SCENES-I love the character of Eugene, who was reminiscent of Snygg's classic performance as the Floyd The Barber-ish postal worker from SUZY'S BAD DAY. Funny as shit, I tell ya.
NOTES-Along with the requisite SC trailer vault, this disc contains a short making-of feature.
