MISTRESS FRANKENSTEIN PLOT-When Dr. Frankenstein's frigid wife is killed in a riding accident, he brings her back to life...but unknowingly gives her the brain of a lesbian! VIOLENCE-None. This is a comedy, and everything is played for laughs. No blood. SEX/NUDITY-Lots of both. There are probably 4 or 5 lengthy softcore girl/girl scenes. Almost every female involved has either dyed hair, scars, tattoos, piercings, or all of the above. The fact that this movie is shot on video makes the sex scenes look and feel like you're watching a porno. WHY I LIKED IT-I'm a big fan of the film FRANKENHOOKER, and this movie reminded me of it. Darian Caine, who plays Mistress Frankenstein, is great and gives one hell of a performance. The way she delivers her lines as "the monster" is hilarious. I showed this movie at a party to a bunch of friends, and it was a huge hit. Everybody really got into it, and we're still saying lines from the movie all the time. Not only is Darian great, but the movie itself is cool too. It's got a lot of toilet humor, which is always good. The film doesn't take itself seriously at all, you can tell the people had fun making it. John Bacchus, the director, also made THE EROTIC WITCH PROJECT, which features a couple of the same actresses. Go check out both if you haven't (and if you never saw FRANKENHOOKER, well, I feel sorry for you). DOWNSIDE-If you're looking forward to this being as sexy as EROTIC WITCH, I'll go ahead and warn you that it doesn't come close. MISTRESS isn't as serious in tone, and as such, there isn't as much in the sex department. However, my main gripe with this movie is that the sound is bad. I have to turn the tv way up just to hear what the actors are saying. MEMORABLE SCENES-Darian Caine, A.K.A. Mistress Frankenstein, stares dead into the camera and delivers the immortal line: "Why don't you take off your FUCKING clothes and EAT me". NOTES-Side 2 of the DVD contains "making of" footage and outtakes, most of which are pretty entertaining and funny. I especially liked the part where the crew searches for the runaway vibrator.
