AND YES, THE RADIO STILL SUCKS
Lately I've been just kinda chilling and really thinking about some strange stuff that was just really wierd.  Anyway onto the topic.  I have been listening to alot of music lately, not just in school like usual but alot at home and work and stuff.  Its really wierd how i know the every single word on every track of the cd "Losing Streak" by less than jake.  I can sing it all on request its kinda spooky.

On monday (i think) i was getting some quitar tabs offline from tabcrawler.com ( good tab site) anyway not to get off track.  And i got the tabs for some songs and i was trying to play them and i decided to get the lyrics for them because the tabs only gave me the one part and it was wrong.  So i went to get the tabs a i started reading the lyrics to some songs and i realized how ... i guess the word to discribe them would be... deep?  I'll exagerate on that a little as i go.  I know the words to tons of songs but i never really stopped and thought about what i was singing and what the songs really ment.  Some of the songs had some really amazing lyrics and i had never really stopped to really listed to the music.

Some of the lyrics from my favorite songs now that i listen to them bring out a totally new meaning to the songs and just add something that was never there before.  You can tell so much from the lyrics.  You can tell what the writer is going through and how they feel and a whole bunch of stuff.  It just kinda hit me to read the lyrics.  Some of my favorite songs that i've been listening to for a while have taken on a whole new meaning once actually taking the time to read the lyrics

Next time you hear a song on the radio take some time out and actually listen to the words.  You might find that some of the songs you liked mean something totally different.

You can also tell alot about how a person is feeling and whats going on inside their heads from the music they listen to or like.  For instance i was talking to my one friend and they were telling me that Tool and stuff like that is really music that they listened to when they were feeling down and suicidal.  If you look at some of their lyrics you can see that in the music.

The Ataris for example you can see the jealousy and the pain in most of their songs like "giving up on love" and the "last song i will ever write about a girl".  It just seems that there is so much more to music than i had ever really taken time to notice.
