dieing

Ok well like I said in one of my previous entries everything I say somehow ties into or
Relates to either Jessica (my buttercup) or Marching band. Well I'm going to stick with that trend and talk a little about marching band.

I�ve been talking to Steph and Leon about it and we�ve decided that the bands
Dieing. I mean my sisters freshman year, The Planets, which was my favorite year
may I add, there was a huge amount of talent like Ryan John, Eric Wagner ect. And
then that year concluded by winning championships, and we lost a lot of talent.
The next year, Americana, the band was still ok and we still had lots of talent. At the
conclusion of that year we lost a lot of people like Carmen Trafero and lots of other
people. The band was still doing really good after losing all of that talent.
The next year-ends and we loose major talent like Jonny Hunter and the list goes on.
Last year the Deep Blue Sea rocked majorly and we had a great year and the end of
that year comes and we loose a lot of talent like Kelly, Anthony Mcculla, Delinda, Dave G. and
much, much more.

This year is probably going to be good and I have high expectations for us and I think
that the show has lots of potential and I think that we will do really well if we work hard. I mean the staff is really pushing us and the bar just keeps raising and were really far
ahead from last year and were on the right track.

At the end of this year were going to lose the most talent so far. I mean in the trumpet
Section, were going to lose Justin and Chris, that�s where most of our power is, the
trombones are going to lose Jenna and chucky, Gelosi and other good people, the
Pic's are going to lose Steph and Steph and Jill�s going to be the only one left. The
Baritones are going to lose Joel and Matt and Nicole if I�m not mistaken too. The
Mello�s are going to lose Casey and Carl. The nets suck anyway (no offense, sorry
jess) The drum line is going to lose Andy Drago and Jordan( I no I didn�t spell
that right sorry) and the only snare left is Josh. The sax�s are going to lose Jason and
that�s even more talent

And that�s this year, Next year were going to lose Bob, Doug, and Jim I think? Maybe?
And were going to loose lots of other good people like Ed and Leon and Tara and the
list goes on and on once again.

No offence to the class above me but there not really stocked with talent just like my
class sucks a lot, I mean yeah a lot of people are probably step up and become much
better and better leaders and all but the classes coming up keep getting smaller and
small thanks to Mr. Washum.

If you haven�t had him you are lucky he was an ass in fourth grade and probably
hasn�t changed much, Next came Mr. Vadore, he was by far the coolest person we�ve
had yet and I though that he was a great teacher and there�s a lot of other people that
will agree with me. Mrs. Dunn was just horrible and she discriminates the
Under-classmen to even join the marching band. And plus the KV marching band
sucks so the kids get the wrong idea anyway.

I really think that the band is dieing due to the lack of talent in the freshman, and
Sophomore classes, don�t get me wrong I mean there are some good people in the
grades above us but there in no way close to say a Jonny Hunter, there�s still time I
know and I no that you don�t see many Jonny Hunters but I mean most of the people
aren�t superstars like the Jonny�s and Ryan Johns. It�s not like we need a whole
bunch of superstars but its always good to have a student that can help motivate
people like C.J. did last year and I personally don�t think that were going to have good
years to come. My has a lot of things to work on including me

I mean I know were freshmen but there are people that cant even march in time. I�m
not talking about shows cause that�s a little different. I�m talking about basics. It�s
really sad that people can�t even stay in step for 8 counts. I�m not even talking about
all of the other things like getting your toes high and not bobbing up and down because

I know that I don�t even do that or even think about that sometimes and I should and I
know that I�m definitely not perfect by no means, but I mean the talent in my grade is
Nowhere close to the talent in the class above us and maybe that comes with a year
under your belt and I really hope so because were going to have to step up when the
Seniors of this year leave

By no means do I mean to offend anyone by saying this and if I have I am sorry but I
am just saying what I am thinking and I haven�t really thought to hard about it. Well
that�s what I�m feeling right now and ill definitely add more as the season goes on

The season is over now and i am very happy. We didnt win but we came in second
and I still think that is a great accomplishment. We worked hard and we are the
second best band on the west coast. Even though were not the best we did better
than last year and our score improved. I am very happy and i think that the band did a
great job this year and that we should be very proud.

To the seniors i hope you enjoyed the show and had a great year. I wish you the best
of luck in the future. To everyone else i hope that you all come back next year. Think
about it last year was third, this year was second and next year were going to kick ass and get first. I look foreword to next year and hope to see you al next year :) and
