Blink 182
A band I have been into before "Enema of the State" and MTV. This band has opened the doors to other bands that I enjoy. I have been fortunate to see 5 of thier shows. Blink was also the first concert I have been to. Regardless what people think, I still think they rock ...

They opened with thier single "The Rock Show" and pyros blew up, it was great. It was right there that I wondered why I haven't been to a concert yet. I was glad I went to that show that night. Not only did Blink have a great set but Derek, Will and me had a blast. After the show the traffic was so backed up that we spent an hour trying to get out of the parking lot. In that hour we did what only Derek, Will, and I can do. We got out of the car and went up to other cars to talk, etc ... The highlight was when Derek rolled down a hill in his boxers and me and Will got some #'s!!!

Yes it was the same show but it still rocked. Me and Derek sat on the lawn, not bad either. The departure from the concert wasn't as great as the day before because Derek hit a SUV and pissed some guy off.

This show was part of "the night 89x stole xmas" and Blink sucked!!! I still thought they rocked 'cuz I had floor seats(why they are called seats I will never know, there's isn't any seats) and I was right against the baracade(which left a bruise). Tom had a messed up back and didn't move, Mark was puking because he had the flu so I give the guys an E for effort ... Atleast they didn't cancel ...

Part of the "104 Fest" (which started at 10) after driving 13 hours to see this show Blink woke us up ... Exhuasted from a night of driving and a day of set after set of great bands Blink delivered. They were fast, loud, and hilarious. "Hey you two in the pink, where are you going? The show isn't over with yet ..." - Tom when he saw two girls leaving midway through the set.

- Tues June 11, 2002 @ The Palace of Auburn Hills, MI
Sure we saw the same show in Conneticut but we had purchased these tix first ...
Bottom line, they rocked and well ROCKED.

What can I say? Blink basically playing in my backyard? Well more like accross the street. For once they came to me! Well it was an average set, about an hour if not longer. Blink played all the good ones. It was a good mix of tunes. Of course in no particular order. Laura went crazy(as most girls do at shows like this) and took me straight to the front. Easier then I thought it would be actually. So we rocked to Blink right in front of the stage! YEAH!!!

Blink was definalty put on this earth to make music, music videos, play live, and make people laugh. Sure they're on a major label and have a lot of exposure but is that any reason to call them "sellouts" or posers? I say no. They don't try to do anything that isn't what they'd do. And I'm sure for a lot of us if Blink wasn't out there we wouldn't know a lot of bands that we know. Not just because of similar genres. Blink has influenced a lot of bands(even though they're not that old, "... GC, Sum, and Blink and MxPx rocking my room" - Simple Plan) and helped those bands get signed to major or indie labels.
