| So by now you pretty much have a clue of what I like. But isn't music great? I can't ever remember not listening to music, can you? When I was 3, Thriller was constantly spinning on the record player. My first tape that I had ... MC Hammer, oh yeah!!! And finally my first smart decision, when I got a CD player for X-mas I went out and bought Green Day's "Dookie". All the CD's and MP3's i have ... I'd have to say nothing beats a concert ... It's a chance to actually see a band and not some expensive over produced product. It's chance to see if they're really good. Sometimes bands pass that test and some don't. Either way my advice to you is go to a show, keep finding new music, and oh yeah ..... ROCK ON!!! Below is a guestbook but not just any ... click sign and see what happens ... go ahead its ok ... fun even ... I'm curious to see what you have to say so go ahead already!!!! ***Make sure to checkout my Concert Page(link below)*** |

| How to find new music? First things first, turn off MTV,VH1, and all main stream radio stations. Now to find good sources for fresh music is actually quite easy. There are a bunch of web sites to surf and come accross(check the list below). This is a hit or miss method but is simple.. DOWNLOAD! Get your p2p (ie. kazaa, imesh, etc.) and download everything in site. Then simply listen and see what ya like. Keep what ya like, delete what ya don't. It's that simple. A new method I've been trying is surfing radio stations from different cities and states. Every city and state has a completely different scene and sound. The easiest way to find radio stations that aren't by you is http://www.radio-locator.com. Simply go this site and search different formats (ie. alt., rock, classic rock, etc.) from different states. Once you search, a list of radio stations appear. Go to any of these station's websites and click on "play list". This list is what the stations have on rotation. With that info you can download and check out what that station is playing. Chances are you've heard of most of their artist/songs but there'll be a few that you may not recognize. That's what you'll want to download. Of course the easiest is to talk to friends and see what they've found. That way you cut all the work out of it and go straight to downloading and you can chose for yourself. Either way look, find, and listen to new music. It's a breath of fresh air and you'll be able to say "I knew of them before they were famous!". Check out these sites to find new music (click on name for site) - My Music Page (scroll up and check my list of bands) - Radio Locator - The easiest way (that I've found) to search and find radio station's websites. - Alternative Press - Alt. rock magazine - Drive Thru Records - No longer a secert but they're still signing bands you might not know, yet. - Pollstar - What to do: Search bands you are already in to. When you do this, there'll be a list of other bands playing that day. These are the openers. Check 'em out. ... more coming soon |
