My Sacrifice
I had a dream of you
the other night.
You told me how evil your life had become,
and I saw your face turn dark in the light.
That's when I told you
I thought I could save you,
I'd go to Hell, and trade your sin
for my one-way passage to Heaven.

So maybe I'm your ticket out
if you would take it
I'd dive into the fires
just so you could make it.
I'd die for you, if it would make you feel free again,
'cause I miss you,
lost in the fog you're struggling with, my friend.

The truth of the matter is
I wish you'd get wise
to the damage you're doing to
the spark that lived in your eyes.
But there's no way out
when you're too proud
to grasp a helping hand
and step out of the clouds.

All your recent sins
are slowly collecting,
and sooner or later
you're gonna wind up regretting
how you let your life go to waste,
and your reflections looking more foreign tonight.
