| Jenny and Laura Nightengale are as different as chalk and cheese. Jenny's pretty face and lively sence of humour makes her everyone's favourite girl, where as Laura is spoilt and moody and never out of trouble. Their mother, Mary love's them both but she's more worried about her father's new wife, Celia, who is about to bring shame on the family. Then Jenny attracks the attention of two young lads in the street who both want to court her, Mick and John have been maates since they were kids, but now war is declared and it is every man for himself.
