| As we grew older, we put away those toys Now our hearts were given to the boys Guess we couldn't always be together, you and I I was the wild one, while you were often shy Grandpa always wanted the family near Keeping an eye on those he loved so dear Then we put away childhood things Exchanging them for wedding rings |

| I recall the day you placed that penny in my shoe Saying, "Hey, Kid, I'll always be there for you" How did we know that soon we'd be apart Holding each other together only in our heart We always had our ups and some down side God was always there for us; He would provide Leadership and guidance; showing the way Always bringing us another sunny day |
