| Standing on the deck of my friend's condo last night A full moon shown on a darkened bay God gave us all such a beautiful sight Watching boats in the harbor so far away The first time I saw the splender of God's mighty creations As I watched in awe, taking a picture in my mind What other people viewed from so many nations I thought of the quietness and what I'd leave behind What living on oceanfront property could be To a mountain girl this view was something new It seemed as though God was shining down on me I thought about what others saw, a calming sea of blue Such a romantic sight and quiet bliss I envied my friend's gracious home on the bay Somehow I began to think of friends I'd miss Soon I'd be leaving and going away |
