| He lifted me when I reached the end of the earth He gave me light to guide me to my rebirth He knew I needed someone as a friend To listen to my prayers to the very end He knew that I was troubled and touched my heart He promised me He'd stay and never part He forgave me for my sins when I did wrong He gave me strength so I could be strong He leadth me to stilled waters to cleanse my soul My cup was much larger, like a large bowl He lifted me and carried me over troubled sand He put me back and showed me His promise land When I looked back the darkness went away I thanked Him for the light to this very day I knew He was my Lord and would always be there To guide me through my life, His love to share |
