| We had just turned Twenty One A year we'd been waiting for Seems our lives had just begun We'd celebrate some more My parents took us on a trip To PA we were to go We wanted to be so hip Yet, things were very slow The year was just 1965 We felt we'd have a ball Off we drove to come alive Until the car did stall We finally made it into town Directions we had received Off to the city to let our hair down We were lost we hadn't believed To the local bar we went A little too much to drink We stayed until our money spent We didn't worry nor think Returning home we saw a cow with a smile We didn't think we were running late She talked to each of us a little while Yet Mama had her ready for our plate! |
