| I greeted Him today as I sat with my tea He smiled and He knew it was just for Him and me He gave me the sunshine to awaken my eyes As I sat there in wonder watching his sunrise His love came through and touched my heart I knew I had much to do, but I couldn't part I asked Him to bless my family and friends Hoping they were well and enjoying this day's end He touched my face with summer air I knew that He was giving His loving care He gave me the sound of the chirping little bird I knew that I was meant to spread His word I felt the dew upon the morning grass He didn't ask for my status or my class He took me under His loving wing I thanked Him for His gifts of everything I saw the all His beauty and a morning dove He filled me with His grace and abiding love He came in wonderment in the graceful butterfly I never questioned this beauty of how nor why |
