Everything is Grey

Surrounding collisions
involving my visions
are haunting and killing
like bulbs in the ceiling
built up from the tiles
the dead lie in piles
I look for a hero
then count back to zero
then fall in the dirt
like I'm dead like I'm hurt
black and white televisions
displaying my visions
the ghost sing of sorrow
the death of tomorrow
keep telling me stories
keep telling me stories
hope things will get better
there's blood on the letter
a paper admission
confirms my suspicion
the wind blows my feelings
through holes in the ceiling
I fall down to the floor
my back to the door
and everything turned grey

The trees speak forever
the leaves fall off never
if fall was a season
then winters the reason
the Vermillion Empire fell down today
the Vermillion Empire fell down today

a shiny new pail
a rust red old nail
a still life forgotten
the fruit is still rotten
I invert my visions
leftover decisions
get caught in the rafters
like before and afters

The trees speak forever
the leaves fall off never
if death was a season
then war is the reason
the Vermillion Empire fell down today
the Vermillion Empire fell down today
