This month we went to the Saint Katherine Drexel Shrine. We learned about her life. I wrote an article about it on Page 3 of the website. We also watched the Weisel Youth Hostel for our friends for four days at Easter. We went on a hike while we were there. We found a pottery and ceramics studio where Gabrielle and I got to pick and paint our own pottery. We also found a duck egg in our backyard. Check out the third page for an article about ducks and their eggs.
In school I've been studying problem solving, division and fractions for math. In Social Studies I've been working on a big time line project to review all the things that I've learned this year. I'm in the middle of reading an exciting book called, By the Great Horn Spoon! by Sid Fleischman about the adventures of a boy during the California Gold Rush.
Our spring is off to a good start. Hope yours is too!

This celebrates a big victory the Mexican Army had when they were outnumbered.
On this site there's clip art, homework help and really cool games. There are arcade kinds of games and games in the section called "Think Tank." Even though you will see a pop-up that says something like, "Download Now" you don't have to download to play. Just wait a few seconds and the on-line version of the game will come up. I like to play the game "Glinx."

This would be a good day to learn about volcanoes, what happens when they erupt, land that has been formed by volcanoes or how you can make your own volcano.
