Harpuia from megaman zero, mugenization made by Evil Dude in MugenGuild, 
aka Evil Ryu in nexgear, aka EvilRyuGuy in youtube.
Do not copy it and/or use it for your own compilations without realising the
effort that I put into this creation. I am aware that a lot of you will copy
the cns functions and stuff, please don't forget to mention that you used my
Harpuia for an example.
Some sprites were edited by me. You will realise this when you see something
that you haven't seen before.

pocket harpuia: Harpuia includes a pocket sized alternative version wich
looks more like the original harpuia in the megaman zero game. It has the
same moves and it only differs in matters of attack range. To play as pocket
harpuia change the foldername to "pocketharpu" and write "pocketharpu, stages/random.def"
in the select.def file.


Overall description:
Mugen Version Harpuia is a character wich relies mainly on speed and
technique rather than power, so even when his single hits may appear weak,
the properties of his special attacks, his ability to easily chain many of 
them and his dexterity make up for the lack of raw power. His defense and HP
values are normal (those of kung fu man), his crouching doesnt take out much
of his height and about his AI Im working on that and probably will upload 
an AI patch as soon as I have learned how to improve it. Also it may take a 
little while to end the round if he wins the fight while flying.

Differences between this Harpuia and MMZ Harpuia:
This Harpuia can crouch, jump, walk, make backhops, attack while crouching
and jumping, block attacks, move at will left and right during his flight
without having to make special moves, quit flying and land to continue fighting on 
the ground at will and throw single separate waves instead of all three of 
them together while MMZ Harpuia couldnt do any of this. I consider this 
changes were necessary to adjust Harpuia from a platform game to a 2d
fighting game and for gameplay reasons. Also his invincible dash and his
rising slash are two separate moves, unlike in MMZ where he always did his
rising slash right after the invincible dash, the drill robots he throws,
still follow the enemy, but they selfdestruct once they touch the enemy,
unlike in MMZ where they selfdestructed only if you hit them or they just
left the screen after a while (again, a change made by gameplay reasons), his
lightning attack only shoots one lightning here and if you wanna keep making
lightnings you gotta keep making the attack, while in MMZ Harpuia did the
attack only once and he remained in his attack stance while lightnings kept
falling from the sky. Finally, for a change his standing attacks are the
same he did in the final scene with omega in MMZ3, but his crouching and
jumping basic attacks are different. Also Harpuia moves less when making his
air waves because there is less space to fly here than in MMZ. This Harpuia can
make a suplex in the ground while the MMZ one could do it only in the air. 
His EX skill dashes less times and cannot be performed twice in a row because
it comsumes the whole power bar.

Basic Moves:

Standing light slash (X): A quick attack easy to chain, however the damage
is little and the range is a bit short. useful for interrupting the opponents
attacks, but not something that should be relied on completely afterwards,
only to chain other moves rather than attacking only with it.

Standing medium slash (Y): Hurts more than the light version, it is the move
with the most range and the one that covers the biggest area out of his
standing moves. Also is slower than the light version in both, start up
and after hit delay.

Standing hard slash (Z): Hurts even more than the medium version and knocks
down the target if succesful, its range and the area wich the attack covers
are bigger than the light version, but smaller than the medium version. the
time required to start the move its almost the same as the medium version,
but the recovery delay is bigger.

Crouching light slash (X while crouching): pretty much the same as his
standing light slash, still can be blocked either high or low.

Crouching medium slash (Y while crouching): Harpuia makes an upgoing, uppercut
like slash. almost same speed and power as the standing version, but more like
an antiair attack wich has more vertical range than horizontal range.

Crouching hard slash (Z while crouching): Harpuia makes an sweeping slash in
the ground wich has trip properties and a lot of range and more power than
the medium version. It also has more start up and recovery delay, but still
some moves can be chained before the opponent hits the ground. Has to be
blocked low.

Jumping/flying light slash (X while jumping or flying): again, exactly like
his standing version, but in the air.

Jumping/flying medium slash (Y while jumping or flying): its like the
standing version, but it has a degree of inclination wich makes more like an
air to ground attack rather than a air to air attack. It has a bigger
recovery delay than the standing version.

Jumping/flying hard slash (Z while jumping or flying): Harpuia makes an
overhead slash wich cover a wide are above him and in front of him. The
damage its similar to the standing version, but its quicker and doesnt
knock down the enemy if it hits him on the ground. the attack shape makes it
more an air to air attack for enemies that are at the same height or higher
rather than an air to ground attack.

Flying: It wouldnt be Harpuia if he wasnt able to fly. he basically floats
in the middle in the air and can go left and right and make attacks, he cant
block or crouch while floating though so its better to use this away from 
the enemy. he rises to the floating state by pressing C on the ground and can 
go back to the floor by pressing A in his floating state. Some of his special
attacks can also leave him floating in the air. By the way, his flying basic
attacks are the same as his jumping attacks and if he gets attacked while
rising, the rising will be interrupted and will fall to the ground wether you
block the attack or not. succesful attacks on Harpuia while floating will
make him fall to the ground also. (for progamming inexperience reasons, 
he cant move left or right after making an attack)

Special Attacks:

Light blade wave (D, DF, F, X): A basic projectile, harpuia will make a quick
standing slash motion and a wave will come flying straight forward. The move
wich Harpuia makes while shooting the wave can also hurt the opponent, but its
weaker than his standing light slash. after hitting, the wave doesnt dissapear.


Medium blade wave (D, DF, F, Y): This projectile also goes up besides flying
forward and its wider than the light version. He will also make a standing
medium slash motion that can hurt the opponent but its weaker than his regular
standing medium slash while shooting the wave. the wave is also stronger than
the light version. after hitting this one doesnt dissapear either.

Hard blade wave (D, DF, F, Z): Its like the light version but stronger and
Harpuia does his hard standing slash while shooting it wich can also hurt
oppponents, etc. this doesnt dissapear either.

Triple blade wave (D, DF, F, DF, D, DB, B, Z): He shoots a combo of light, 
medium and strong waves, one after the other, also making the same hurting 
moves. If they all hit, this is his one of his most damaging attacks.

Invinvible dash (B, DB, D, DF, F, Z): Harpuia will go first into a preparing 
to dash stance and after that he will turn into a green beam wich will dash
through the screen, then he will go into an afterdash stance for a bit. as
the moves name implies, he cannot be hurt during this move, and if he touches
the enemy he will hurt it and knock it down. Afterwards he can chain many of
his attacks before the opponent reaches the ground. the downside its that he
is vulnerable before and after dashing and opponents that have seen this
move before will probably be able to tell when its coming.

Rising slash (F, DF, D, DF, F, Z): Harpuia will jump straight up while making
a slash wich will leave a trace behind that can hurt enemies. Afterwards, he
will go down a little bit and instead of falling back to the ground he will
go into his hovering stance. useful as an antiair attack or combo finisher
because it deals a bit more damage than his other moves.

Rising air wave (F, DF, D, DF, F, Z): Harpuia will fly upwards and moving a
little bit forward and in the middle of the animation he will shoot a wave
wich is bigger and stronger than his other wave, that will go forward with
an inclination degree downwards. After move is over he will go into his
hovering stance.

Suplex (B, DB, D, DB, B, Z):the most damaging of Harpuias attacks, its a 
throw kind of move that if succesful will grab the opponent, fly high up in 
the air and come back down to the ground smashing the opponent into the floor 
with all the power from the fall. It has the same properties as any other 
throw move.

Drill robots (D, DB, B, X while jumping or flying): harpuia will join both of
his hands togheter in front of him and then a tiny drill shaped robot will
be released of them. The robot will fly slow seeking the opponent (except while 
its making a spark, during that process it will stop until the spark 
dissapears)and it will dissapear only when it hits the opponent, wether it 
has been blocked or not. Harpuia can make as many of these as he likes, but
the damage they make its very small, so its main use could be as a divertion,
if trying to kill the opponent only with these, Its gonna take you a while. 
This move also leaves Harpuia in a hovering stance.

Lightning (F, DF, D, DB, B, Y while jumping or flying): Harpuia will join 
both of his  blades over his head and then a bolt will fall from above making 
a little damage. Its a good move, but Harpuia will be in trouble if the 
opponent dashes out of the bolts way and hits him while he is in the middle 
of the animation. This move also leaves Harpuia hovering in the middle of the
air.

Air wave (D, DF, F, Z while jumping or flying): Harpuia will make a circular
flight motion and in the middle of the animation a wave like his rising air
wave will come out going downwards and forward. Its stronger than the drill
robots or the lightining, but he could get hit easily while making the
circular flight.

Air suplex (B, DB, D, DB, B, Z while flying): Its like his ground 
suplex, but in this one Harpuia will go down advancing a little bit and try 
to grab the opponent. If succesful, it will be exactly like the ground 
version, except that in this one he will come back to the hovering state
instead of jumping to the ground.

Harpuias EX skill (D, DF, F, DF, D, DF, F, Z while flying): This
is Harpuias super art, hyper, whatever you wanna call it. He will only be
able to do this when he has less than 50% of his full health bar and it will
consume all of hi power bar. Harpuia will first go into a pre animation where
for a couple of seconds and the he will start invincible dashing in the middle
of the air from one side to another five times. Bigger and stronger waves
than his regular air waves will come down from his dashes. This move can be
a bit tricky to block and will probably connect to most AIs wich arent
complex enough (supermario could block this without any problems when I tried
it with it). If all of them hit, the damage will be huge, but not as much to
be a 1hitko move. Once you have learned how to block this it will probably
be very easy everytime.
