| Once a good company that put quality into their filters, has sold out for cheaper prices. These filters are now produced in Mexico and are assembled very poorly. They have a paper filter element that has cardboard endcaps. These filters tend to dissolve after some use and leave behind lots of particles in engines. Try to stay away from these filters at all costs. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Purolater: | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| I've used a Purolater Pure One and there have been major flow issues. The Purolater filters so well, that it produces to much restriction in oil flow. Luckily I noticed this problem before any major damage occurred and swapped out the filter with a Wix. Keep in mind though, that the Purolater is safe to use during the summer, when the oil is less viscous. I haven't tried the standard Purolater filter and have heard mixed thoughts. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Wix filters are a good all around filter and are of good quality. I have been using these filters for about two years now and they have shown no signs of failure. The NAPA silver and gold are similiar except that the gold has glass enhanced media which offers a little more protection. However using the standard silver line-up will be more than sufficient. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
