The single most important fluid in your car.  A good motor oil is the key to getting the most out of your engine.
Dino Juice
Theres nothing wrong with running conventional oil in your engine.  As long as the oil and filter are  changed every 3000 miles or 3 months your set.  But please be strict with this change interval, conventional oils react with the exhaust produced in the cylinders.  This causes a breakdown of the oil, and makes it become  acidic.  This along with thermal breakdown is what makes conventional oils lose there "lube" properties.
Syn Juice
Synthetic oils offer the best protection in an engine.  It's resistence to thermal breakdown and inert properties, allow longer drain intervals (depending on service).  These oils also have a tendency to stick to the parts of the engine, which reduces start-up wear.
Blended oils (syn+dino) are a good choice as well.  The cost is a little less then pure syn, but still offers better protection then conventional oil.
Blends:
When converting from dino to syn, your car may experience leaks (older cars).  This is due to the fact that syn oils flow better then dino oils.  If this happens just stick with the dino oils.
