| HOW TO PLAY - Select 4 golfers for the week (1 from each group). To see the golfers for the week, access the bottom of your player page. - You may only pick a golfer a total of 7 times during the entire season. - Your golfers will accumulate points for the week based on how they finish in the tournament. Money earnings mean nothing. - If you have a golfer who finishes tied for 21, that means you get 21 points for that golfer. You do the same for your other three golfers and that determines your point total for the week. - If there is 70 golfers who make the cut in the tournament and you have a golfer(s) from the four that you picked who missed the cut, they will be considered as tied for 71. Therefore, they will have 71 points for that week. Points for players who miss the cut is determined by the number of players who make the cut. - If you pick the winner of the tournament, 10 points are deducted from your final total for the week. No players missing the cut subtracts 8 points, 2nd place subtracts 5 points, a missed cut adds 2 points and all players missing the cut adds 10 points. If there is no cut for the tournament, like in The TOUR Championship, points for missed cuts and no missed cuts do not apply for that week. - Weekly winner in the pool receives the option to swap their Group 4 pick for a Group 2 pick the next week. - If you pick a golfer who withdraws prior to the tournament, you have the option of picking a new player from that group. If you do not do that, you will be given the next best player according to the World Rankings. If your player withdraws during the tournament, he will be counted as if missing the cut and: ~ If the golfer withdraws before the cut was made in the tournament, points will be added like other players who miss the cut. ~ If the golfer withdraws after the cut was made and he initially made the cut in the tournament, points will not be added to your overall total for that golfer. ~ If the golfer is disqualified from the tournament, he is counted as missing the cut no matter if he initially had made the cut or not. - If you do not change your players for a week and go over the total allotment of 7 for a golfer, that golfer will be given 100 points automatically for that tournament. - If you have a golfer in your lineup that was not in the field for that tournament, you will be given 100 points automatically for that golfer. - The person with the least amount of points will win the pool. - Last place in the pool will have to pay another 30 dollars. CHOOSING PLAYERS You will be asked to choose and submit your 4 golfers (1 from each group) for each tournament. Golfers must be submitted before the tournament begins. To access the golfers playing for the week, go to your individual page on the Players section. Your individual page will tell you which golfers are playing for the week, what group each golfer is in, and how many times you have picked a golfer for the year. Example: GROUP 1 Tiger Woods 2/7, Vijay Singh 0/7, Phil Mickelson 1/7, Sergio Garcia 0/7, Padraig Harrington 0/7 GROUP 2 Michael Campbell 0/7, Jim Furyk 1/7, Kenny Perry 1/7, Adam Scott 1/7, Darren Clarke 0/7 SUBMITTING PICKS To submit your picks, send a message to me ([email protected]) via email. The subject title should be "pool picks". Then type your 4 picks in the message box. If you want to make any changes after submitting, just tell me the golfers you want to change. It is your responsibility to correctly choose and submit from the correct groups. Picks for the tournament will not allowed to be submitted after the tournament begins. No one will be able to see the submitted picks by others until the tournament has started. SCHEDULE The schedule for the pool will be based on the PGA Tour schedule for 2006. For the pool, we will be using a total of 24 tournaments from the schedule. NEWS News for the week can be accessed from the home page. This section will notify you if anybody has withdrew from the tournament. It will also be used for any other important notices. STANDINGS The standings for the week and for the year can be accessed from the home page. Weekly and overall standings will be finished the day following the tournament. Individual results for the week can be accessed by clicking on your name on the Players page. FIELD The field for the upcoming tournament in our pool can be accessed from the home page. The field for a tournament is usually posted on the Friday night preceding the tournament. This means you will have 5 days to pick your golfers and submit them. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION - The Official World Golf Rankings and PGA Tour Money Leaders list for 2006 can be accessed from the home page. - Email me for tiebreakers. Also, everyone who has agreed to enter the pool must pay the 30 dollars owed regardless if they do not continue making their picks at some time during the pool. |
