Dictionary Definition –
1. A feeling of intense desire and attraction toward a person with
whom one is disposed to make a pair; the emotion of sex and romance.
2. A deep tender, ineffable feeling of affection and solicitude toward
a person, such as that is among from kindship, recognition of attractive
qualities, or a sense of underlying oneness.
Clearly neither of these definitions express the true love we find in our personal relationship with Jesus Christ, but only do they express a temporary love we find only "of the world."
If you have your Bible please follow along in 1 Corinthians chapter 13. This devotion would make a lot more sense if you have your Bible to follow along in the scripture.
