Comfort

Howdy everyone. How has everyone's week been? Mine has been awesome. The praise band that I am in is looking for places to play around town and the surrounding area, so if you know of a place for us to play at please let me know or go to foah.netfirms.com and e-mail us. I have created a website for everyone who gets this devotional and for everyone who doesn't. Go to weeklydevotional.netfirms.com. Please go there and check it out. Send me your comments. I hope you all enjoyed last week's devotional. This week's devotional is going to be on comfort.

He promises you comfort
2 Corinthians 1:3-4

3. Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is the father who is full of mercy and all comfort.
4. He comforts us every time we have trouble, so when others have trouble we can comfort them with the same comfort God gives us.

God is always there when you need Him. Whenever you are having trouble with that hard math test or when finals for next week come, he is going to be there to comfort you and take away the nervousness you might have from the test. God himself said he is going to comfort us in a time of need, but you also need to be open to receive that comfort. If you try and push him away he will not want to comfort you because you are not comforting him. God's comfort can come simply from a Bible verse or a warm hug from a friend. I know when I am down and someone gives me a hug or if someone comes up to me and prays with me it gives me so much comfort that I am able have a better day knowing that God is there with me. God loves you and all he wants from you is to accept him and not reject him. God is waiting want you invite him to come in.

He promises to comfort people in need
2 Corinthians 7:6

6. But God, who comforts those who are troubled, comforted us when Titus came.

Whenever you are having trouble, where ever you are, if you stop and pray for God to comfort you, he will. He loves each and every single person here on Earth. Whenever we are tired we can find rest in God as well as find comfort in him. If you trust in God he will protect you, but if you are pushing him away he will want to push you away. A favorite Bible verse that helps me through the day a lot is this one:

Mathew 21:20b
20b. I will be with you always, even until the end of the age.

To me knowing that God is always with me and always guiding me along his plan for me is so awesome words can not express my love for him. So I encourage each and every single person that if you do not know Jesus Christ as your personal lord and savior please contact me and I will be more than happy to show you how to be a part of his huge family

I hope you all enjoyed this week's devotional. Please everyone keep safe this weekend. It is a 3 day weekend so please keep safe where ever you go or whatever you do. Also remember to click it or ticket. LOL! Everyone have fun and remember: Smile God loves you!

In Christ,
Dennis Monsewicz jr.
