What should a Christian's thoughts be characterized by?
Romans 12:2

Howdy everyone! How has everyone's week been? Mine has been great. I want to remind everyone that if you have prayer request please send them to me so that I may get them out to everyone. This Friday my band, Face of a Hero, will be playing at Perk Avenue. I also want to wish everyone a Happy 4th of July. I want to ask that everyone please pray for the Kentucky mission trip that is coming up next Saturday. Please pray for traveling mercies and everyone that is going and for all the homes that we will be ministering to. Thank you! This week we will be talking about how Christians shouldn't change ourselves to be like the people of society but change ourselves to be more Christ like.

Romans 12:2

2. Do not change yourselves to be like the people of this world, but be changed within by a new way of thinking. Then you will be able to decide what God wants for you; you will know what is good and pleasing to him and what is perfect.

The verse we are looking at today is a very important one for us Christians to remember. We all sometimes fall into what the world thinks is right and not always what we know is right. There are a lot of things that the world thinks is right that, as Christians, we know is wrong. And for you to grow as a Christian we need to be looking for what God wants us to do and not what the world wants us to. In the end of this verse it says what is perfect. God knows we are never going to be perfect so do not try to be perfect. Instead of trying to be perfect try to better what you are doing wrong. There is only one person that is perfect and that person is Jesus Christ. And the main word in Christian is Christ. As a Christian we need to be more Christ like. We will never be perfect no matter how hard we try. We will only be perfect once we enter into Heaven. As Christians we need to be not worried about being perfect but to try being as Christ like as we can. We will always sin but see that is the great thing about God. He is a God of 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and so on of chances. He will always be there to forgive when you have sinned. Remember that God loves you so much that he sent his only son for you. Smile God loves you.

I hope you have enjoyed this week's devotional. If you would like to do a devotional for the devotional group please contact me via e-mail and I will get you the information you will need. Also I ask if you have any prayer request please send them to me so that I may get them out to everyone. Till next week. God Bless.
