| The guys from in Rishon Lezion club organaized 2 short DXpeditions during 1999 to Achziv Island (IOTA: AS-100) with special callsigns: 4Z0A and 4X0A. The island is located close to the Lebanese border. In times when the border is quiet and only during daytime a radio operation from the island is possible. Achziv Island It is a small and rockey island and during high tide or in stormy weather most of it is covered by the sea. The two DXpeditions were a great success and we made about 2000 QSOs in each 8 hours DXpeditions. Altogether there were 5 operators and 3 stations on the island. |
