| Ode of Mu-lan writer : unknown | ||

|
The sound " Tsiek Tsiek "
could be heard again and again, when Mu-lan weaved at the room.
|
|
|
She bought a spirited horse in the East
Market; |
At dawn she left her father and mother,
in the evening she camped on the bank of the Yellow River. |
In order to join the military operations held at ten thousand miles away,
they passed through gates and mountains swiftly. |
|
On their return, they had to see their King. The King rewarded his armies at his splendid Hall. Soldiers were rewarded in accordance with their achievements individually. More than hundred thousands of prizes were given.
The King asked Mu-lan what she desired.
When Mu-lan's parents knew that their daughter was coming back,
leaning on each other, they went to see her outside the city.
She went out to see her comrade at the door.
The male rabbit ( her comrade ) hopped and skipped.
The female rabbit ( Mu-lan ) was in a muddle and a fuddle. |
