ESSENCIA LEMONGRASS HYDROSOL  (extract / water distillate)

 

 

LEMONGRASS HYDROSOL is a farm-fresh product straight from distillation, known to thin blood and loosens blood vessels, has diuretic properties, alleviates dysmenorrhea, strangury – a slow and painful discharge of urine, and urination difficulty among others.

 

 

SOME VERY PERTINENT USES:

 

Coffee/Tea flavor enhancer:

 

A teaspoon of lemongrass extract, mixed with a cup of hot coffee or tea, unsweetened or with honey,  is perfect.

 

In 1.8 liters of water, pour 200grams of instant ice tea or any juice flavor, add 200ml of lemongrass extract, mix well, put some ice and serve. It’s a wonderful thirst quencher.

 

In a glass or mug of very hot water, put two tablespoons full of lemongrass extract and one tablespoon of pure honey and sip!  Add more extract and honey to your taste.  It is very effective for sour throat, colds and fever.

 

Liquor Mixer: Still on lemongrass extract, it is also used as liquor mixer in Europe and other Western countries.  It too is very good for brandy and lambanog.

 

Mouthwash/Astringent: Lemongrass extract is perfect as mouthwash, as it is an astringent and anti-bacterial.  Leave it in your mouth for a minute to gurgle after brushing your teeth, don’t drink or eat anything within 30-minutes after mouth washing to make the gurgle more effective.
