GOLD IN GRASS CORPORATION is engaged in the production of the essential oils for the purpose of providing rural employment opportunities, development of sustainable rural enterprise, forest productivity and protection of biodiversity, wildlife habitat and watersheds.

The Company currently has a total of 40 hectares of plantation of lemongrass. Lemongrass is the Company’s initial focus of production and future products include essential oils from ylang-ylang and vetiver Lemongrass essential oil and lemongrass hydrosol are the primary products of the Company.

Locally, lemongrass is better known as tanglad, salay or baraniw. The whole leaves are commonly used in Asian cuisines. Cooked together with ducks, chicken, fish and shellfish, to remove, if not balance, the strong fish or chicken odor.

Known for its diuretic properties, with a little amount of boiled leaves or drinking the hydrosol can induce urination, perspiration, and flatulence in as little as once hour.

In relieving pain, commonly the leaves are warmed, placed on top of the area of pain, then wrapped with cloth. To make it more convenient we concocted a massage oil with VCO (Virgin Coconut Oil) and  lemongrass essential oil. Since the base oil is VCO the grease will fade away as the lipids are absorbs by the skin in 15mins.
