This is the page about our girls. I grew up with cats all my life. When I moved to Las Vegas I missed having them around. One day Daryll left me to go shopping, by myself. I went to a local mall. I had been looking around for about a hour, when I saw a pet store, I went in. I was looking at the cage with the cats in when another couple came by and was picking out cats, they handed me Tigger to hold while they continued to look at cats from that moment on I knew I had to have her, the next day I picked her up. Tigger was given her name because she bounced just like one, and still does. That was April 2000. In August of 2000 I decided she needed company and after MUCH persuasion I started to look for free kittens. I called an add about free calico kittens and asked if she had any female and she said yes about 20 minutes later Daryll and I, with Tigger went to find her a sister, and we did. The little calico was just a big ball of fur, but the cutest think you ever did see, so home she came and was given the name Patches. We named her Patches because of the different colored patches of fur she had. When it came time for us to move there was no doubt that our girls would come with us. The joy would be that Patches had a broken foot when we moved her, but they survived and are quite happy in Wisconsin. In June of 2002 I took Patches to the vet, over a silly watery eye that turned out to be nothing and found a baby kitty that I just had to have. I went home to Daryll and he knew what I wanted and told me no at first. I begged and pleaded and finally went to pick up my third kitten. I picked her up and she was feisty (and still is). We named her Shadow (not quite sure why, I left it all up to Daryll). To this day Shadow has brought a renewed kitteness to her older sisters. There is never a dull moment with our babies. In August of 2003 we got our last kitten. Her name is Rajah. She has been a welcome addition to our family.
Here are some pictures of our girls.
These are of our oldest, a Tortiseshell named Tigger:
She likes sitting on top of anything and everything she can.
She uses my teddy bear for her pillow.
She is trying to hide. You can't see her.
These are of our second oldest, a Calico named Patches:
This is not her normal place to sleep but she found it good for awhile.
She is just pretty posing for the camera.
She is just peeking to say hi.
These are of our second youngest, an All-American breed named Shadow:
They just love to peek out of anything and everything.
She is chasing snowflakes.
She is our educated kitty. She took typing lessons from Daryll.
These are of our youngest, a Tabby named Rajah:
My pumpkin.
She is on her best behavior in this picture.
Kitten or Kleenex?
And these are of all four of them, an all-too rare sight:
A rare picture of all four.
Rajah moved so I got another picture of them together.
They found my bed a good gathering place.
