Tobi and Payton have passed their Child Certification test which will allow them to visit with children. There is a wonderful program called PAWS TO READtm offered through the Therapeutic Paws of Canada that has the dogs go to a school or library to have children read to them. This encourages and motivates the students to read!!!
I am also a trained evaluator for the Therapeutic Paws of Canada. Any dog who has a calm temperament and loves people may come out and be a therapy dog if they pass the test. If you are interested please contact me.
This program is being run as a pilot project with the Renfrew County District School Board and has been very successful.
