Within years, mankind had been slaughtered by the Bloodweavers until only one nation remained, the proud lands of Tanerdina. No one could stand against their savage attacks.
Fleeing a nation under arms, Cyber finds himself on an island forgotten by civilization, an island filled with man-like creatures who are under siege by the bloodweavers. By chance or fate, he meets Sakaku, a young inhabitant of the island. Her village was attacked by Bloodweavers, and her and her father, escaping the savages, had fled to the plains. Desperate for an ally, Sakaku tells Cyber of her plan, and the story of the Novastrike beasts.
The Novastrike were one of the Ancients, the species that came long before the times of man and the sword. Humanity destroyed the noble creatures, until nearly all of them were gone. Fortunately, the survivors escaped to the alternate world of Serconre, never to be hunted again.
Sakaku's people, the Ingalias, aided the escape, so Dresora, the God of the Novastrike, made a promise. A select few of the Ingalias would be born with the ability to borrow a Novastrike's at will, and if they all were brought together, Dresora himself would come and wreak his power on their enemies.
Sakaku was one of those summoners. With her companion, a Novastrike named Yurisake who had decided to stay on Earth as her guardian, she planned to find the other summoners and raise a group of rebels to fight the Bloodweavers.
However, the holy blood of the summoners had leaked from the Ingalias, so Sakaku, Yurisake and Cyber had to journey into the human lands to find them. And their time was limited; the Bloodweavers had a plan that was rapidly going into action.
