Prevent Silo Launch
|
Obtain Ourumov's Briefcase and Key - A plotline drafted up for the game of which the Breiface that Ourumov would drop behind would contain plans, these plans of which were for the Pirate Helicopter. It would also contain data useful for preventing the satellite from firing later in the game. Although, the key of which Ourumov left behind would allow you to access extra parts within the Silo.
Prevent Silo Launch - Much information regarding the door of which was able to be opened of the Silo had concluded that there was an objective to launch a Silo. You can open access to one of the Silo area doors by selecting your Silenced PP7, from which, you would then switch to Unarmed. This action can create the Silo door above to open. However, if thought about, Bond infact was to prevent chaos then to insist it by launching a Silo. So, in fact, Bond was expected to prevent the launch of a Silo by using Ourumovs key, this would allow access to a room within the Silo, from which the launch of a Silo can be prevented. However, this isn't infact true, for it is the most logical explanation to what the openeing of the Silo door was for.
Hidden Vents and Ladder
During your starting point of the Silo, there is a ladder and vent of which is located just below the catwalk near the Silo rocket. There isn't any information as to what exactly these object/location had surved though. This area below the catwalk can be access using Gameshark with the codes located below these paragraphs. Although, even though you may be able to access this section below, it is still not possible to obtain acces to the vents nor climb the ladder. However, using these Gameshark codes, it is possible to see what is at part of the end of the vents. Many people had concluded that there was infact a fan of some sort at the end. Although, this isn't comfirmed for which it isn't still possible to get inside and actually see.
The vent of the Silo was rumored to be basically a place which you would start in of the Silo level. There were other indications that the vent was for you to enter for a completion of an objective. Although, the best way to explain this is infact that the vents were there for a sake of detail. Which in the Beta you were able to walk to the end, which would end up of a dead end, of which was a fan. Although, there is no information released as to what exactly was it for.
The ladder of the Silo was infact a way to transport you from the catwalk to the lower part of where the Silo rocket lays. The railing at the top where it meets with the catwalk was infact taken out for the Beta Version of the Silo. This would then allow you to carry out a task which has some relation to either the elevator or the vents hidden below in the Silo.

Elevators
During development for the Silo, there were elevators, these of which were located in every Silo area. These elevators would infact transport you from one to another location. Although, it was infact removed from the game for the fact that since other objectives were removed, that the elevators purpose (for which was to help to complete these objectives) had no reason to be in the level. In conclusion, they were removed. At every catwalk which doesn't have an ending railing, this is where the elevator would attach onto. The elevator would be basically a platform which would take you to a higher or lower catwalk of the Silo. There is infact a movie for an N64 Promo which shows Bond take the elevator up the Silo, from which
he would then get off at the top and shoot a Jungle Commando. To download this .mpeg movie, look at the Pictures section below. The picture to the left shows Bond looking off a catwalk of which he is shooting a black guard. Note the bars to the left of the image, of which is in fact the elevator. This particular elevator is of the starting point of the Silo, which is right beside the door, of which would take you to the very top catwalk. Although, this can still be accessed when you confront Ourumov, then take a right and go through the door, from which is the catwalk. However, this was basically an add on, for it wasn't in the Beta Version of the Silo, for the fact that the ending part of the level wouldn't be so easily accessed. In addition, this catwalk consisted of a Jungle Commandant, who which stood guard above all catwalks.
Unaccessible Catwalks
There are catwalks within the Silo which are not accessible without the help of the Gamshark, of which I included the codes below. In total, there is infact 2 catwalks unaccessible, which each contained a guard. Both of these catwalks also consisted of a door, these doors would have enetered into somewhere farther in extent of the Silo, however there isn't any information released as to what was behind there. Although, rumors had it that these catwalks were just there for sake of detail, and the doors were to make people think that which there was something behind it. Although, as explained above, no information has been released as to what these were exactly for.
By using a Gameshark code by the name of "Shoot Through all Objects", as well as accessing a catwalk, you can take out the door which is contained on it. Although, even though you have blown up this door, the actual door was a cover up for the one contained behind it. This door of which can not be blown up, for the fact that it is part of the level.
