Fake Beta Pictures
Introduction
This section contains most of my recent findings of what pictures were created to make belief that they were Beta pictures. Most have been done fairly well, but there are very few things left behind that can ruin the whole picture. I have covered most images, although I'm still in the search for more unreal Beta pictures. However, I'm only stating images which I have not seen on other sites for in their Fake Beta's section.
These are almost convincing images, although a few details left behind give away that they are just fakes. For the image to the right, it has quite a good editing job I can admit, but take a closer look. Firstly, the Beta of the Surface was a very foggy level with no sky, although this image shows what is in the final version of GoldenEye. As well, look at the enemy, it looks as if he were getting shot, but where is the blast from the weapon? In addition, the bullet number for 2 looks as if it were tampered with. Now, for the image to the left, it is quite an easy to notice that it's a fake. Take a look at the end of the AK47, it's been cut off where it meets the safe. As well, the weapon doesn't have any ammo on sceen, although this can be changed in the options of the watch. But look at the angle of the weapon, it looks like it's sticking strait up into the air. Although, this could only mean it was edited from an image with the very same angle, click here to view. As you can see, the weapon was edited from that image, although from the fake, you can see that parts are poorly edited.
A very simple to tell image, but as from what it looks, Bond infact rendevouses with Trevelyan at you starting point. Although, many things were never taken into account when they created this image. Firstly, Trevelyan doesn't have his D5K Deutche, nor is he wearing the same suit as he normally wears for the Facility. In addition, look at the sizing of this image, it looks as if it were in Multiplayer using the get out of body code. As well, there are no boxes around where the railings are, or up above near the door. Concluding, this is a very foorly created Beta picture.
This is another very convincing image, although I have found a large quantity of the image that concludes it's infact a fake. Firslty, take a look at the weapon pick-up, a TT33. Well, to think about it a little harder, when you pick up a weapon it only says its long name, which would have been TT33 Tokorev. Also, how can some one pick-up a weapon, be holding one, and blowing up a few guards without being hit? As well, the farmost part of the image which is fake is the weapon. Look at the angle, obviously weapons can't aim when you're blowing up guards (because they are dead, and the weapon doesn't aim at enemies dead), so why is it pointing so high into the air? Now, take a look at this image. The angle is fairly simular, this is because that image is aiming at a guard which is above the guin, making it stick into the air. Although, look at the ammo amount (30, 360) and compare with the other image. What a coincidence, it's infact the same ammo! That has to be a true fluke to get the same ammo as well as the same angle of the weapon. Or it could have been just a very good editing job. Note the little bullet in the middle of the bullet amount, looks almost squat, for it was infact edited poorly.
Many people have belief that this is infact a real beta picture, only released to EGM (Electronic Gaming Monthly) officially from Rare. Although, it isn't infact a Beta picture at all, for it was talentedly created by the magazine company themselves. However, I don't see a company taken so much time for an April fools joke. It is a pretty cool picture, created by EGM, but keep in mind that the team of GoldenEye never created all the characters, only Sean Connery was produced untill they found out about the legal rights, so infact had disclosed of creating the rest. Sean Connery was used for many Mulitplayer matched during the production, and was removed before release of the game. In addition, George Lazenby was never planned to be a character for the game, for no images were ever produced. As well, take a look at the image, and remember that Sean Connery actually wears a white tux, although the image shows Sean Connery in a grey tux. The person who is in the white tux is actually Timothy Dalton, but as you can see it has some black with the tux as well.
