| This urban college is located in the heart of New York City's Greenwich village. This large university is spread out through approximately one square mile of city lot, surrounded by concrete. If you are looking for a relaxed serene college, this is not the place to go. In fact, the closest thing to a quad NYU has, it the public park, Washington Square Park, near the campus. This school has very large undergraduate facilities, as well as gradute programs offered. The Tisch School of Arts is one of the most renowned art schools. Many famous directors, such as Spike Lee and Oliver Stone, studied at this specialty school. The Leonard N. Stern business school is another strong program of NYU. Additionally, NYU is "the place for applied math." Like most large universities, class size is generally very large, as is the amount of freshman introductory courses. NYU on-campus housing is said to be luxurious, but campus safety is a problem that comes with living in a large city. Unlike USC, athletics are not a main attraction of NYU. But, students can never run out of things to do, from viewing broadway plays to dining at pizzerias, in the city that never sleeps. |
